Health culture

Health culture is an integral part of the general culture of an educated person. Today, a person with secondary or higher education, but practically not knowing anything about his health and how to maintain it, can be considered uncultured.
Using the thousand-year experience accumulated by mankind to preserve and strengthen one’s health would allow us today to live a long, happy life and not be ill.
Where is this experience stored and where can it be taken from? Unfortunately, modern medicine is mainly concerned only with human diseases and practically does not deal with its health. According to our Minister of Health, modern medicine assigns only 10% to health problems, i.e. man abandoned to fate. And, it is not surprising that, in spite of constantly building new hospitals, diagnostic complexes equipped with the most modern equipment, constantly replenishing generations of new, powerful medicines, the life expectancy of a person every year is decreasing and the diseases do not become less, but completely new ones appear about which mankind has never heard before. Already, only 4% of healthy children are born in our country, and the health of the rest is already undermined. Modern sports also can not provide full health. Professional and Olympic sports almost cripple a person, making him disabled in adulthood.
And so, we again returned to our question, where and how a young man to master this missing, but very important part of the general culture. And the answer is next. The world traditional medicine has long accumulated this knowledge and, in spite of everything, it cherishes it, advanced to the next generations in the form of oral or written sources.
Now, on the shelves of bookstores, you can find literature related to health. Usually. All this literature is connected with the use of the knowledge of traditional medicine of China, Tibet, India, Japan and other countries for the recovery of the Russian people. And, of course, in their homeland, this experience works very effectively, but it is not adapted at all to our country, our people, our way of life. For example, the wellness system of yoga in India is not only exercise, it is both a way of life and a food system, it is also a whole religion. The use of these, of course, effective exercises taken out of a holistic health system, can give only a slight healing effect, and sometimes even harm, since it often does not take into account that learning a single exercise can take a whole month and is usually carried out under the supervision of an experienced person. guru (teacher). Independent mastery of these exercises can lead to numerous mistakes in their implementation and will do nothing but harm to your health. The same applies to biologically active points (Chinese points). Widely and effectively used in Asian countries as an element of a holistic health system, in our country they still cause wariness or distrust of doctors. Although in the east it is only a small element of the culture of health with its lifestyle, nutrition, exercise and philosophy.
What is the way out? We propose to preserve and promote health using the generalized experience of world traditional medicine adapted to our conditions. To do this, we recommend to get acquainted with the book “Health”. Theses will list the main elements of the health technology described in this book.
Health culture includes: lifestyle culture, food culture, physical culture. Each of the elements of this culture is necessary, but not sufficient to preserve and promote health.
We must begin with the knowledge of oneself. Determine your temperament, as it will be associated with all further tips and recommendations for the preservation and strengthening of your health. For this, the book provides several techniques.
The next step is the fulfillment of all 4 conditions.
It is necessary to observe a certain way of life in accordance with its temperament and the rhythms of nature, which are discussed in detail in this book.
Properly organize and maintain your diet according to your temperament and season of the year and age.
Regularly train your body with the proposed health complexes.
In their life to take into account the modern ecology.
The book contains many additional recommendations on health culture. But only the simultaneous fulfillment of these four conditions will allow you to live a long, happy life and not be ill.
