Bronchial asthma: modern treatments

The incidence of bronchial asthma in Ukraine is increasing every year, especially among children. Where do these data, if medical statistics based on appeals to the medical institution, only indicates that only 3% of Ukrainians suffer from this disease?
Are we at risk of asthma?
That’s the point, that the actual level of morbidity does not show these data: according to the data of the Association of Allergists of Ukraine, official data only shows each 20th patient with allergic reactions, including asthma. All because even with pronounced symptoms of allergy and bronchial asthma – cough, shortness of breath, breathing difficulties, etc., people do not turn to doctors. The disease is diagnosed in severe form, when serious health problems begin.
Meanwhile, early diagnosis of allergic diseases, the identification of allergens and properly selected therapy helps to get rid of the symptoms of allergy, spoiling our lives, but also to avoid the development of bronchial asthma. After all, in most cases asthma is precisely the allergic reactions that people ignore. Particularly sad facts of childhood morbidity: with each passing year, 2% more children are diagnosed with the disease. And the mortality rate from bronchial asthma in Ukraine is one of the highest among the European countries.
Why are people afraid of diagnosing and treating asthma
Underestimating the severity of allergy, we endanger our health and the health of our children. This feature of our mentality is not the prevention of diseases, but their treatment, especially in the unfinished stage. That is precisely when complexity arises, treatment becomes more expensive. It is also important to limit (and ideally exclude) contact with an allergen for successful disposal for any illness of an allergic nature. Therefore, an important role in the successful struggle against allergy and asthma is played by diagnosis and detection of provocative factors, and not only drug therapy.
The second moment, which forces people with already diagnosed bronchial asthma to refuse treatment – these are outdated methods of basic therapy. According to experts, until the last moment in Ukraine hormonal preparations (inhalers or tablets with glucocorticosteroids) were used: in order to control the disease, stop its progression and prevent the development of a severe form of bronchial asthma, it is important not to interrupt basic therapy. But many patients or parents of small asthma patients are categorically against hormonal drugs, and therefore refuse treatment.
How to treat bronchial asthma today
Modern methods of treatment of bronchial asthma include both basic therapy with hormonal and non-hormonal drugs, as well as alternative treatment technologies. For the treatment of bronchial asthma, stationary and outpatient treatment programs are used, which are developed individually for each patient and are based on diagnostic data and indicators of his health.
With the help of individual treatment programs for asthma, you can not only get rid of attacks of suffocation, difficulty breathing, coughing, etc., but also normalize the work of the excretory system, restore the functions of the liver, intestines, lungs and other internal organs that are exposed to the negative effects of allergens.
